Announcing the winner of our ‘Win a Toyota HiLux’ promotion.

The ‘Win a Toyota HiLux with 3M™’ promotion has ended and the golden cut-off wheel found. A huge congratulations to all our lucky winners and a big thank you to all our entrants and distributors who participated in our competition that helped make it a success!

This inaugural major promotion required customers to purchase specially marked tubs of 3M™ Silver Cut-Off Wheels from participating distributors for their chance to find the golden cut-off wheel. This year the major prize was a Toyota HiLux, the prize pool also included the opportunity to win one of 20 AmorAll™ Car Care Kit consolation prizes.

A special congratulations to Michael Parker. The major prize winner of this year’s Golden Cut-Off Wheel promotion and recipient of the Toyota HiLux valued at $29,00.00. Michael runs Geoffrey Thompson (commonly known as Jeftomson), in Shepparton, Victoria, a family-owned business in continual operation since its establishment in 1949. They are one of Australia’s largest growers and packers of pears and apples, supplying Coles, Woolworths and Aldi as well as exporting their produce around the world. The company has grown into a vertically integrated horticulture business, having full control of the product from growing, storing, packing and transporting, through to sales and marketing. They also have a fully established mechanical workshop and a fully accredited transport business.

Geoffrey Thompson is currently undertaking an extensive expansion project to their fruit packing facility in the old Ardmona factory in Mooroopna Victoria. The facility is planned for completion and operational by January 2021. As part of their expansion project, Michael has been using the 3M abrasive wheel range in their demolition and building works. “I was lucky enough to discover the winning ticket in one of the many buckets of 125mm cut-off wheels we purchased, as well as many blocks of chocolate”. Michael purchased his winning bucket from his local supplier ATA Distributors, who have been servicing the requirements of business and industry for over 45 years with their abrasives, tapes, adhesives, packaging and janitorial products.

The vehicle was presented to Michael by 3M’s Abrasives Systems Specialist for the Greater Melbourne Area, Jason Bardelmeyer. Jason was accompanied by Brian Ahmet, ATA Distributors local representative who sold the winning bucket.
