The 3M™ Prevena™ Peel and Place Dressing is an integrated one-piece dressing designed to help to hold incision edges together, reduces edema, removing fluids and infectious material into a replaceable canister. The dressing acts as a barrier to external contamination and delivers continuous negative pressure at -125mmHg up to 7 days to the incision site.
The 3M™ Prevena™ Peel and Place Dressing manages the environment of closed surgical incisions and remove fluid away from the surgical incision via the application of 125 mmHg continuous negative pressure. More than 70+ published clinical studies in a variety of surgical incisions and patient populations have demonstrated that the 3M™ Prevena™ Incision Management System is associated with positive clinical outcomes compared to standard postoperative dressings.
