Aluminium Conductor Composite Reinforced (ACCR)
with a highly advanced aluminium alloy. Each strand of 3M ACCR
core wire is reinforced with thousands of ultra high strength,
high purity aluminium oxide fibers. The result is a solution specifically
designed for high temperature operation – providing dramatic ampacity
gains with significantly less sag than standard options.

Environmental solution
In many areas of the world, building new transmission lines means
building towers in environmentally sensitive, protected or densely
populated areas. 3M ACCR can substantially increase the capacity of
existing lines simply by replacing existing conductors on the existing
towers, often avoiding years of environmental impact analyses and
debate. Installation is quick, the ampacity gains are large, and the
outstanding strength-to-weight ratio and low thermal expansion
enables long spans across rivers and other areas. We also offer a
trapwire design that can help you improve the energy efficiency of
your line.
